GOAL:
Build excitement for an ethnic cuisine offered in authentic form. Help restaurant and catering customers understand its heritage and nuances.
TASK:
Research and write a short article to accompany the release of a restaurant’s new menu, and provide a basic layout for in-house printing. The article would be used for both print and web.
SOLUTION:
“Helen captured exactly what I was looking for with clear concise information presented in a friendly descriptive fashion – perfect for those clients who might otherwise shy away from a menu a little out of the ordinary.”
…Mediterranean cuisine is most commonly known for the bright flavors of Italian, Greek and Provençal cooking. And yet beyond basil and wine, there is the bold scent of intricate spices and culinary traditions of forgotten empires. The cuisine of the Eastern Mediterranean stems from the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Turks and Venetians, whose long history of imperial colonization and trade by means of sea routes has rendered a rich blend of culture and culinary practices. Food plays an integral role in the generous hospitality of the region’s peoples and is based on the plentiful fruits of the fertile land.
GOAL:
Create a proposal for a multi-day incentive program to offer the bidding company the best chances of winning the business.
TASK:
Present the given content (enhanced by own research as needed) in a standard printed and email format. Task included writing, graphic layout and a creative cover that would make the proposal stand out from the crowd.
SOLUTION:
This proposal used the client’s customary proposal format, with minor changes as necessary to fit this particular project while still maintaining their look. Since the recipient of the proposal manufactures power equipment, the proposal was styled to resemble a manual of one of the company’s power tools. Not only was this original, it demonstrated that the applicant was focused on the end client and their needs.
“Thanks to all your help we won the job! We so appreciate all your efforts with last minute all-nighters to accommodate our changes. Thanks for being a wonderful part of our team.”
GOAL:
Help a new floral designer positively introduce their company to the special event and hospitality community through a successful submission in the regional event awards program.
TASK:
Write and produce the physical submission according to the entry guidelines using verbal descriptions, photographs and internal documents as source information. Creative presentation to include graphical layout and specialty paper.
SOLUTION:
With Ecriva’s help, this young company won two awards in its first year of business, greatly increasing their credibility and highlighting their achievement in front of an influential audience.
… We approached this event “A Blooming Start” with the assumption that the future of our entire company depended upon its success. We had the most meticulous of clients, the most demanding of audiences and the most impossible of budgets, for this event was our company’s “debut to the world”…
GOAL:
Make it easy for the client to customize proposals to prospective customers while maintaining a consistent brand. Standardize the layout and content architecture to facilitate comparison of different options.
TASK:
Design a proposal template based on information frequently presented. Assemble a library of key points for popular destinations that can be included in future proposals.
SOLUTION:
Since this client was in the business of site selection, the type of information in proposals is often similar; however the source of the data (supplier proposals, tourist information, conference sources) is frequently in many different formats. The final template allowed our client to quickly sort information, save pertinent details for future reference, and present a professional and useful overview of services and easily comparable options to their own prospective customers. Research into select destinations formed the basis for a library for the client to add to and draw from in the future.
